Brett founded Spurr Financial in 2003 to help individuals and families reach their financial goals. Prior to founding the firm, Brett was a senior equity analyst for a $15 billion mutual fund complex where he researched companies, made investment recommendations and influenced buy/sell decisions. He was also a business process consultant for Andersen Consulting (now Accenture). Brett graduated with a BS in Finance from Rutgers University with high honors. He is a Certified Financial Planner professional.

Brett is also passionate about service and charitable causes. He is a founding board member of Sports Made Possible, a charitable organization that provides children and adults, who are living with various mental and/or physical challenges, an opportunity to play baseball in an organized league. In addition, Brett served on the Board of Directors of Mental Health Colorado. MHC is a Colorado        501(c)3 nonprofit promoting a healthy Colorado free of stigma and discrimination, where every person has full access to high quality services for mental health and substance abuse conditions.
